Time is Short

Remember that the US oil companies have been trying for years to get a bigger share of the EU market for LNG.
Remember that it used to be illegal for US oil companies to export LNG, and this was only changed under Obama in 2015.
They are not concerned about US energy independence or price controls for US consumers, but only with the fact that they can get more for their product from the EU than from US customers.
You have literally had your resouces sold out from under you, and your government has risked starting a world war, in order to ensure profits for oil companies (gotta get the Big Guy his 10%, right?).
