Friend —
This Pride Month, we’re taking a moment to celebrate some of the major progress we’ve made on LGBT rights in recent years.
But we’re also acknowledging that there’s still a lot of work to do.
More than half of all LGBT Americans live in states where state laws don’t prevent them from being fired because of who they are or whom they love.
Every one of us can and should commit to change that.
Say you’re going to fight for the right of all Americans to be accepted for who they are:

Another pathetic call to legitimize immorality by the pResident. As an aside, the correct grammar is “to be accepted for whom they are:”.

The sentiment in the OFA note above makes me recall something I read earlier today.
The other post was not on the same topic, but this paragraph from it is SO relevant:
Here’s the thing: some of us despise you, although fewer than you believe, but most of us plain don’t care about you or your doings. There was a time when we did care, but you betrayed our good will and played us for fools. We laugh about it now, but we actually believed you wanted equal opportunity and mutual respect and to live in harmony—all that stuff. Ain’t it a hoot? Imagine our embarrassment.
