Immediate action is required to squash the gun-ban efforts of village officials in Wesley Chapel (Union County). You may recall that last month, without explanation, village officials discussed a “Dangerous Weapons” ordinance, which quickly morphed into a discussion about a “Concealed Handguns” ban. They don’t seem to realize that gun bans such as this target only sane, sober, law-abiding citizens, while doing nothing to keep those citizens safe from actual lawbreakers.
Once again, GRNC’s Director of Local Government Affairs, supported by local citizens, made clear to the Council such action would not go unchallenged.
