Turkey’s Erdogan wants “Islamophobia” declared crime against humanity

“I am one of the first political leaders officially declaring that anti-Semitism is a crime. I expect an official declaration that Islamophobia is a crime against humanity as well. Islamophobia emerged from the Western countries and this is a challenge that we all together need to surmount.” Since honest discussion of how jihadis use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify violence and supremacism is generally classified as “Islamophobia,” such a declaration would have the effect of stifling all examination of or opposition to the jihadis’ motives and goals. The jihadis could then advance unimpeded and unopposed.

Video -- Turkish PM Erdogan has commented on the term ‘moderate Islam’ often used in the West to describe Muslims who aren’t terrorists. Erdogan said, “These descriptions are very ugly, it is offensive and an insult to our religion. There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that’s it.”
