Evacuating or deploying?
Naval forces are irrelevant in today’s warfare. Hypersonic missiles and drones define who will win.
A fair number of the hypersonic missiles used in Ukraine were launched from Russian Warships.
I know. The Ru-24 and Ru-28 missiles can be truck launched. The missiles launched from ships or jets are not capable of hitting intercontinental targets.
History is full of navy’s getting destroyed in port.
Dec 7th 1941 springs to mind.
