Dimmocraps have nothing to present to their base as a reason to vote for them in the November mid-terms. This bill will be their final effort to find something.
In December 2020, I told a friend that, if Republicans lost Georgia’s Senate seats, Manchin would be the most powerful man in Washington. He didn’t believe me, saying that Manchin would do whatever Schumer told him to do. Obviously, he was wrong.
Joe Manchin has stood like Leonidas at Thermopylae on several bills that were extremely important to Dimms (and which would have made conditions in the country dramatically worse if they had passed).
This bill is simply a cynical political and fundraising effort. If it is actually passed by the House, it does not stand a chance of being passed by the Senate, but it will give Dimms the chance to say to their base, “Well, at least we fought for you! Help us fight more!” It’s all part of the Dimmocrap Kabuki Theater.
I think it has a chance of passing in the Senate, the uniparty will get it done, TREASON.
All I can say is that most gun activists who are tied in politically with the legislative scene believe that it won’t get through the Senate.
If it does, as written, it will never pass court scrutiny because it is blatantly in violation of the Heller and Bruen cases. Dimms know that. The bill is just a sop for Dimms who want to toss a bone to their Leftist base.
BTW, Joe Manchin can’t be counted on as being in opposition to the assault rifle ban. I believe that he actually co-sponsored some version of one in the past few years.
