Sadly, I’ve heard of this happening before. If they’re so concerned about drugs, why the HECK aren’t they stopping what;s going on at the border???? That involves drugs, money and HUMAN BEINGS!!
If they are concerned about drugs, they would arrest the CIA. They are responsible for a large amount of the imported drugs.
But that would take men of honor to fulfill their oaths like that. Instead you have these types shaking down normal people.
Also Cartels have no problem shooting the Highwaymen posing as LE. Better to rob the rubes of their money than irritate the cartel.
Feral Gubmint Polezi are not your friends, neither are State polezi, and very few local polezi either. You are always a criminal suspect until you can prove your innocence. Even then like in this case, you’re just another peasant to be fleeced.
Why do people trust LEO?
There is no moral premise to justify the confiscation of property. The IRS, war on drugs, money laundering, property tax, school tax, emirate domain and the patriot act are all attacks on private property. Without private property there can be no happiness.
The primary reason for government is to protect private property. Government, federal and state at all levels have failed on this. Extortion and theft has become their primary objectives.

They’ll just bring in the dog they’ve trained to “alert” on cue. About as easy to teach a dog as teaching them to sit. K-9 cops get straight to work on undoing a dogs training as soon as the dog is assigned to them.
When the dog “alerts”, they now have reasonable suspicion and no warrant needed to search your car.
That is not what the Constitution states.
Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
A dog cannot swear an oath and cannot describe a what is there. So they have no legal cause to search anything until they have an legal warrant.

True. Some, though could care less whether they are viewed as a man, or not. Seems to be to me, anyway. The honesty and integrity necessary in the swearing of an oath is in slim supply these days.

It is not only nevada that has a problem with civil forfeiture. Interstate 40 in the north east has a huge issue as well. This brings up the old question, when will folks say ((ENOUGH))!

This is where we are morally we are at the edge of the abyss. We got here because non of us saw it coming many were just having a good time. The corporations have taken over everything and we as a whole are bankrupt morally. Even the cops are crooks , the judges are corrupt this is Marxism the communist state. It only gets worse they will soon be hiring non Americans to police us and then there is no law anymore. Heck it is pretty much gone now.
And, they have the gall to call themselves “public servants.” In reality, they are just badges with common road thieves pinned to them.

It’s been known for awhile this is being done -- totally wrong, of course. But I question how a former combat vet wouldn’t know it, and would travel with that much cash…I’m a simple former office worker and I know not to do that…
