What Does the Hijacking of the Galaxy Leader Mean for Globalization of a Fragile Supply Chain?

Oct 9, 2023

If you’ve read my latest book, you know that a driving force behind deglobalization is the US Navy stepping away from its role as patroller of the world’s oceans.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The above video was released before the Galaxy Leader was hijacked by Houthi rebels based in Yemen. The consequences of no or limited security for global shipping by the US Navy will impact the supply chain in a short time frame. I doubt people understand what this means.
consider something like bread or pasta, simple foods. next consider that 40% of the world’s grains are SHIPPED from the region now in turmoil known as Russian and Ukraine. think now that if this hostage taking of ships or a closure of sea lanes due to increased insurance costs, how much will those simple foods increase in cost on the world market. (hope y’all got a bundle of the buckets filled with wheat berries.)
Thomas Jefferson had this figured out when he removed the Barbary pirates. Nobody of his intellect around anymore. No history being taught.
