I wrote a letter to 50 North Carolina Senators expressing my opinion against HJR 235. This is the only response that I received:
Sen. Mary Wills Bode <marywills.bode@ncleg.gov>

David, thanks for your note. I appreciate you reaching out about HJR 235.
Best,
Senator Bode

I was surprised that I did not receive more replies, even if it was an autoreply. I was surprised that the only one who did reply was a Democrat. I do want to thank Sen. Bode for her reply. I wish she would have told me her position on HJR 235. I was surprised that senators that I know and in one case even worked with prior to her election did not respond.
Lessons learned? None. I already knew that voting is not a solution. This effort cost me nothing more than 10 minutes of my time and I received information and confirmation that will be useful in the future.

David, Dammit!! It is because they ALL DO NOT GIVE A SHIT!! Our politicians from all levels are nothing but anti-American traitors and need to be removed or terminated with extreme prejudice!
pocket-liners are what all politicians are these days.
Are you surprised? Once elected our rulers no longer have the interests of our country in mind. They believe that they have the best interests in their minds, and could care less about what we, the people who pay the taxes, think. And this is at the state level, not the Feds. It is systemic.
well, in past years, Senate Leadership has killed applications for an Article V Convention which passed the House.
Send the Senators another batch of emails: I think more Legislators see emails sent on weekends -- since I think they check their emails personally on weekends since their staff isn’t checking them.
David, It is because your name is on “that” list! Render no hope in the process of the vote, it has gone the way of the honesty and truth in this country.
My rep is clueless on everything you call on. At least her aide is. The only people they listen to are the lobbyists. They just voted to expand Medicaid and handed it as a gift to Cooper for the medical community and now it’s going to cost us billions.
Btw, they don’t do what they think is best for us, they do what the lobbyist tells them
I am surprised Tillis did not reply. Every time I’ve sent something in,
if no one else responds, Tillis does and I don’t like Tillis.
He is in the wrong party.
Tillis is a US senator, not a state senator.
Thanks. My mistake.
Emailed our Senators (Blackburn and Hagerty) about 14067; got an auto reply from Marsha and Bill sent his newsletter. Neither said a word about the bill with which I expressed concern, although Marsha did ask for money.
While I am not surprised, once again I am disappointed. They are worthless.
