I received the following email tonight:
Who do you recommend that I vote for? I am a Tea Party member at ZIP 28025 in Concord, N. C. The elected judges, especially that are supporting illegal immigration and Obama are who I want kicked out also. Is Cabarrus County Sheriff Graham (a Democrat) to be ousted too?
Amazing. Some days it looks like we are going backwards.
1. Why would anyone ask someone else who to vote for? Especially someone whom you do not even know.
2. If you are too lazy to do your own research on who to vote for, then you should not vote. However, if you do determine that the candidates in a particular race are all evil, do not vote for the lesser of two evils. Anyone who tries to use logic to convince you to vote for evil is by extension also evil.
3. Anyone who is a supposed TEA Party or 912 member who wants to be led in this manner can only be classified as one of the sheeple. People have sacrificed their lives, fortunes and pledged their sacred honor to give us freedom and the ability to vote for responsible candidates. Are we so apathetic (or just pathetic) that we have forgotten what must be considered an obligation to our nation and our children to vote responsibly?
Whom should we vote for? We must vote for responsible candidates that will uphold our Constitution, founding principles and Judeo-Christian values. Our nation was founded on religious tolerance but abandoning our spiritual heritage will only serve and justify illegal policies such as the “right to protect” as well as its consequences.
As George Washington forewarned us in his farewell address:
Warns against the party system. “It serves to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration….agitates the Community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one….against another….it opens the door to foreign influence and corruption…thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.”
Do not vote based on political parties. I understand that the two party system in North Carolina is one of the worst examples of our political process in the entire country. A third party or independent candidate has been judged to be irrelevant in our state’s laws and political party leadership. And that is why North Carolina is not standing up for our state’s rights and why our politicians are not held accountable for their actions.
