I am surprised that the people are not addressing a simple fact: the legislation promised over a week ago is still pending. But it will be passed today. Maybe.
I know that you know that the virus does not care about legislation. I know that you know that this legislation will further enslave our children. I know that you are going to take this helicopter money as you rationalize your tacit acceptance of an ever intrusive government.
Imagine is the churches had taught us Proverbs 6: 6-11
Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie there, you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man.
Imagine if Dr. Redfield of the CDC had testified in front of Congress for everyone to wear a mask instead of stating not to wear a mask. The measures for social distancing and the means for practical containment would have worked if people were responsible. They would have worked if the government forced us to comply to reasonable containment measures. Now we are faced with the realization of exponential growth due to Spring Break in Florida, Mardi Gras in New Orleans and New York socialists.
So here we are. What can we do? Be vigilant because government is now bigger as they did not let the crisis go to waste. And they will rinse and repeat.
