Paraphrasing Voltaire, “if you want to know who rules over you, find out who you can’t criticize.”

The legislation is clearly in violation of the First Amendment.
Voltaire is often quoted as saying, “I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” (Actually his biographer said it describing Voltaire’s attitude toward free speech).
Please read this quote again:  “I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
This is the pure essence of the distilled meaning of the First Amendment.
No way is it lawful for the emotionally driven House of Representatives to pass this anti-semetic speech prohibition.
        But.  They.   Did.
So now it is up to the US Senate to put the brakes on, and kill the legislation using the Filibuster which requires 60% of the Senators present and voting, to vote for Cloture, which means that the entire Senate can then vote on the bill. It is very hard to overcome a Filibuster since it requires a bi-partisan group of Senators to cobble the sixty votes needed to vote for Cloture.
Will the Senate stop this unconstitutional legislation ?? Perhaps…… they may do so by passing a Namby-Pamby-watered-down bill that will neuter the effectiveness of this awful bill. Then the passage of time will put another “shiny object” in front of the House of Representatives for them to glom onto so they can forget about this bill……
“If Liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”  George Orwell

Make no mistake. This is not “just” about fighting anti-Semitism (and, as a Jew, I have no love for that). But rather, it’s the camel’s nose to make illegal ANYTHING that the government doesn’t like.

This is dread territory.

I’d rather attend to the risk of too much freedom than not enough.

Now that the government has got it’s foot in the door, they will expand the law to include everything they don’t want you to say. The Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department will probably take the lead on this.

I am a Jew. This bill disgusts me.
First, it’s an attack on free speech. There’s a lot of free speech I don’t like, some here, a lot on Gab, and elsewhere. But to quote Voltaire, “I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”. AMEN!
Second, it’s turning a lot of people against Jews. Not that there aren’t some reasons to already hold that -- alas -- but I had the same reaction to this bill as I did the comment by Barbara Spectre about “Jews leading the demographic changes in Europe”, i.e., DON’T YOU REALIZE THIS WILL MAKE THEM HATE US???
And lastly, this will become precedent to ban speech, any speech, that any interest group doesn’t like. See my first point.

agree. They use that one verse for a reason. They know the way people will take it. People that do not understand the ‘more’ complete message.
What happened to the people who understood,
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
—Martin Niemöller

The House to turn against Jews? Perhaps. But more broadly I think it’s a way to -- under the guise of “doing good” -- that great evil will be unleashed in this world.

And I am becoming more and more convinced that there is a secret cabal -- within Judaism -- intent on destroying Judaism. More on that thought in an essay that I’m starting.

You are correct in both your observations. Unfortunately for those like yourself who are not in agreement with the vocal and politically influential faction of Jews (nor assisting their plans in any way) you too will be dragged down by their actions by association, as these sorts of situations do not make any allowance for separating the non-culpable individuals from the (perceived, at any rate) group at large. I find that regrettable, but it is a predictable consequence of herd reactions.

We went through this with COVID, and how the authoritarians dragged the entirety of society along with their garbage policy, meting out consequences for those who disobeyed. Yes, some of us successfully resisted, but not without varying levels of personal and professional pain to ourselves for being outliers. That is just the nature of human behavior, I’m afraid.

You are also prescient to realize that those Jews who wield political influence and implement policy that is despised will cause further hatred of the group as a whole. I don’t have good answer to solving that problem except to reiterate a point I alluded to in a comment a couple of days ago here: the socially and politically subversive portion of American Jewelry must be stopped from continuing to do these things, because if they aren’t, a cataclysmic response to their meddling with the underpinnings of western society is in the offing.

They don’t seem much inclined for now to abandon these initiatives, and in fact are putting them into overdrive with this latest insult upon our natural rights. Of course they are not alone in this, and have many and varied accomplices. It is a bad situation all around.

All I know how to do is fight what’s happening by calling out my fellow Jews. For example, I have -- at length -- called them out for the Jewicidal Yidiocy of advocating for mass migration.

An Open Letter to Pro-Migration / SJW Jews -- Urban Scoop

In a post on Granite Grok, I called out the ADL on their gaslighting about grooming.

In all things, whether this or groups in general, one must differentiate between the core group of whomever that is doing bad, versus a much larger group for whom this “seems good” and yet haven’t thought it through.

But you are correct; if this goes through, it will be seen as “proof” the Jews own everything, control everything, and must be fought tooth and nail. And people like me, and many Jewish political-conservative friends that I have, will be caught in the backlash too.

I’m very surprised at the so called knowledge people have acquired of the bible. If it was not for the Jew you would not have the bible, cause all the authors of the 66 books where in fact Jewish prophets inspired by the holy spirit. The Jewish people may have played a part in the Crucifixion of Christ, but remember this, IT Was Your Sin and MY Sin that had put Christ on the cross. If you cannot accept this fact your lost and without Jesus in your life.

One more demonstration that this country is being run by traitors, this is a clear violation of the first amendment to the Constitution. Each of them that have voted for this trash, deserves scorn and hatred from “we the people.”
