Wow! Nothing new under the sun. Organized religion with their 501c3 chains around their necks tell the people what they should do. They should follow the gubmint dictates and follow science. Then, all will be well! You won’t have to think for yourselves! The people love that!
One problem, when the consequences start coming, what will ye do? The not so funny thing is people will ask where God is when everything falls apart. This is a spiritual contest, [Ephesians 6:10 -18].
