REAL CLEAR POLITICS POLL
Job Approval | Approve | Disapprove | Spread |
Obama | 48.3% | 46.3% | +2.0% |
Congress | 14.2% | 79.2% | -65.0% |
Direction of Country | Right Direction | Wrong Track | Spread |
RCP Average | 33.4% | 59.6% | -26.2% |
This information was on a sidebar on Foxnews.com. Almost 80% of the people disapprove of the job that Congress is doing. Small wonder since we have not had a budget for four years and C-Span Congressional Hearings have become entertainment. No need to present a long list of reasons why the public has given up on Congress. What is surprising is that nothing changes every election cycle. The incumbents win in most cases regardless of the state of the union.
The second point is that a majority of the country feels that the direction of the country is on the wrong track. No surprise there: the only good news is the “record” highs of a government manipulated stock market.
With all of the bad news and no solutions presented, Obama still has a higher approval record than disapproval. Race? Demographic poll pandering? Media bias? Probably all three with a good dose of economic ignorance thrown in. What is the solution if our government is responsible for our problems and the propaganda keeps coming? The government’s solution is misdirection: gun control legislation and foreign threats. Let’s see how Colorado and New York play out.
