When Southerners go to Dollar General

I confess that we frequent the Dollar General about twice a month. We live in a food desert: the nearest regular grocery store is 15 miles from my house. The Dollar General is 1.5 miles away. Since it is new, it is clean. But the store’s inventory is diminishing as it grows older. Or maybe it is just Dementia Joe’s newest policy to destroy the country.

When we lived in WV, the Dollar General was a couple miles down the road. The nearest grocery was 40 minutes away and it was a very small IGA. I rather of went to the Dollar General because they did not enforce the mask mandate. If we wanted anything bigger to shop at it was over an hour (good shopping was almost two hours, but them you had to go into the Peoples Republic of Virginia). I did like the remoteness.

Another added benefit of DG, they play Christian music there.
