Who will be left when they come for you? The Martin Niemöller poem has been used as an analogy for the government’s overreach in the country.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
As was pointed out this weekend, an associate stated that both he and I are dead men. Is this the country that you want?
UPDATE:
I asked if this is the country that you want. A comment below asked for solutions. Why? We have been given all of the tools that we need to have Liberty. The only thing that we lack is courage.
“I do not know whether it is to yourself or Mr. Adams I am to give my thanks for the copy of the new constitution. I beg leave through you to place them where due. It will be yet three weeks before I shall receive them from America. There are very good articles in it: and very bad. I do not know which preponderate. What we have lately read in the history of Holland, in the chapter on the Stadtholder, would have sufficed to set me against a Chief magistrate eligible for a long duration, if I had ever been disposed towards one: and what we have always read of the elections of Polish kings should have forever excluded the idea of one continuable for life. Wonderful is the effect of impudent and persevering lying. The British ministry have so long hired their gazetteers to repeat and model into every form lies about our being in anarchy, that the world has at length believed them, the English nation has believed them, the ministers themselves have come to believe them, and what is more wonderful, we have believed them ourselves. Yet where does this anarchy exist? Where did it ever exist, except in the single instance of Massachusetts? And can history produce an instance of a rebellion so honourably conducted? I say nothing of its motives. They were founded in ignorance, not wickedness. God forbid we should ever be 20. years without such a rebellion. The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had 13. states independant 11. years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure. Our Convention has been too much impressed by the insurrection of Massachusetts: and in the spur of the moment they are setting up a kite to keep the hen yard in order. I hope in god this article will be rectified before the new constitution is accepted.”
– Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, Paris, 13 Nov. 1787
The blood of patriots. Plural. LaVoy Finicum’s blood is only the beginning. Which is why I ask if patriots have faith in God.
David DeGerolamo
either we all can hang together or we can hang seperately
I will be asking that very question on March 5th.
I rather hang together.
Without reservation, we recognize the problemS what we need are suggestions and solutions.
see my update in the article.
Part II
Anyone who believes in “top down change” or a trickle-down solutions is greatly misguided, IMO. I think that we have passed the point where the solution can be “voted in”.
History has shown us that the only non-violent way tyranny is overthrown is through the application of what is identified as “Irish Democracy” in the US. (In Canada, our version is the resistance of the Quebecois to English rule after the defeat of the French on the Plains of Abraham). “They” don’t have enough “Troop to Task” players, even counting all the possible “federalized” players to uniformly enforce their will without our consent.

Part III (Last Bit)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Quebec
What is not disclosed in the Wiki abstract is that the English, after prevailing on the field of battle, were then forced to administratively and de facto capitulate to the Quebecois, who refused to come to work, refused to convert as originally demanded, refused to speak English and refused to acknowledge the English legal framework, etc. The British did not have enough troops to compel the Quebecois to comply with their diktaks, and could not run the colony or the economy without the native Quebecois remaining in their existing administrative and social billets. (clerks, farmers, cooks, candlestick makers, wharf workers…) The British were also terrified (and rightly so) that knowledge of the silent domestic rebellion would find root in the restless colonies to the south. There is a valuable lesson in long term survival and the triumph of passive resistance there.
Centuries later, the Canadian government was forced to disband the “Long Guns Registry” as the number of refuseniks was unmanageable and they could not justify the costs in the face of vigorous and rising legal opposition from the grassroots in the provinces (states).
Just say No … if you have the courage and hope that others will stand by your side in solidarity.
The core problem is that we-the very most of us-wish to avoid disturbing our individual zone of comfort.
If we allow things to go cashless without a fight, it’s all over.
Cashless is a cornucopia of goodies for the evil rulers: absolute transactional control. That means food, heat, shelter, arms…f***ing everything.
(Part I)
The answer is simple. Resist what you can, while you still can.
Unfortunately, most people will choose to not even take small steps to reclaim liberty and self-determination, but will continue to complain at the erosion with lots of dramatic hand-wringing and no action but continued self-defeating inertia.

I second what Smitty said: “If we allow things to go cashless without a fight, it’s all over.” We are finished as a free people then. I realize that there are many other avenues to use when things are “Cashless” but it won’t be very easy. No more buying ammo anonymously, no more buying precious metals without full knowledge of those who stand watching. The forces of darkness know this and will do everything they can to make this happen unless we … act. I have been posting a picture of Robert “Lavoy” Finicum with a III symbol on every bulletin board in NM with caption of “Robert “Lavoy” Finicum executed by the FBI” and so far 80% of them are getting torn down. I will keep posting them.
Dear Sir(Smitty) and others reading,
Google is field testing it’s patented “cashless payment system” as we speak.
http://www.google.com/patents/US20050015332
How do I know? I work at a local pizza franchise and the Google team comes in and buys things with the system. I am in Redwood City, California. I have physically witnessed the testing in person on location once, vaguely saw it another time(but it isn’t enough to convince) and heard about it a few times. They have been buying around 4 bottled waters a day for a few weeks. I saw them buy a pizza. I saw it show a picture of the purchaser on the merchants monitor for visual identification. It is very true and one must wonder why at this time when they are testing that there is a cry from misc. places to do away with $100’s. Tin foil hat? Does it matter? They have it. I saw it. I tell the truth so expect to see it sometime in the future. It isn’t that much equipment to sell or give away to a merchant in order to have them “hook up”. China can or probably or already has made millions of those little modem type thingys that will be easy to hand out. Its here. Its coming. This is all I can do for you in the info department.
“Prepare to fight like beasts!” Tom
David,
Although we have never met you give all appearances of being a very passionate, intelligent, and liberty minded man. Having said that, then you must also be aware that those words were written by men of honor, commitment, who also found themselves among like minded soles who were willing to make that famous pledge and actually intended to keep it. Now, you may live in a different area that myself, may have friends or acquaintances different from my own, but sadly I find myself frustratedly devoid of such assets and so it remains my motivation for relocation hoping to find a more favorable existence. If you are aware of one please share!
Like I have stated before, how many people do you know who have spent time making realistic preparations? Do they spend time in God’s word? Are they aware of current events? Do they make time for practicing necessary skills? Do they maintain some type of fitness level? Without some basics and people willing to pledge themselves, well…Houston we have a problem.
Don’t get me wrong I am not perfect nor asking for perfection but have and do make efforts despite being past my youth. Let me add I also find myself a minority of one in most respects and that includes family members who can tell you more about the last game than current events, think lifting a beverage can is exercise, and spend more time scratching lottery tickets than turning pages in the Bible.
Reality bites.

ytz4mee,
Thanks for the links and they were interesting reading. It seems to me those things will be much more effective in an area affording mutual support.
Thoughts?
Which specific items, Average Joe? Many of them are individual acts of Resistance. If you are discussing the “Irish Democracy” links, then mutual support is imperative for success.
My older daughter recently asked me to watch a documentary on Netflix with her that discussed setting up a specific type of barter/exchange network, “Time As Money” as she is currently living in a region that is reeling from multiple economic death blows. What I personally found most intriguing was the community-building that Time Banking generated vs. traditional “volunteering” efforts. There are many different models/templates already in existence, this just highlighted one:

Start small, and nurture it to grow from there. Lead through example and others will follow.
me too Tom there is strength in numbers
I’d rather be the hangman. The number of traitors, would guarantee me job security, for decades.
Tom Bosly, there has been a semi cashless society for the long time. Check --> credit --> debit cards.
ytz4mee…
Do you disagree with my premise such efforts would be more effective in an area offering mutual support?
@Average Joe, I am not sure there are too many places like that. I told my wife I would like to move to SE Alaska. But she is not a recluse.
Tom, we are looking at Idaho but also found Montana a pleasant place. In the end we are open to suggestions and hope some are offered. Trust me when I say this is not anything that will be easy for us as we enjoy a rather nice existence and even have the blessing of a remote fall back position if needed. Even with all those advantages we believe it necessary to seek a more liberty minded location.
