Friend —
Winning the big, progressive fights is a marathon, not a sprint.
That’s why OFA is focused on building the future of this movement by training the next generation of grassroots organizers.
There’s no one better prepared to do that. Over the last two years, we’ve trained 10,320 organizers, from first-time volunteers to organizing fellows who are preparing to go the extra mile.
And today, we opened applications for the next class of our fellowship program. You can help decide how big we can go this summer.
Our numbers folks estimate it takes about 29 donations from supporters like you to cover the cost of training one organizing fellow — including digital tools, resources for trainers, and all of the materials the fellows need to get started.
Will you chip in now to help train an OFA fellow?
When people ask me how best to chip in to make a difference, I tell them about this program. In my mind, there’s simply no better bet for a long-term investment out there, if you’re talking about building the future of the progressive movement.
OFA’s mission is to tip the scales of balance away from special interests and big-money lobbyists, and toward the communities that are often under-served by their representatives.
That’s a principle at the heart of our fellows program — and it’s why we’re expanding our program specifically in those communities, with a bilingual program, campus organizing program, and a women’s leadership program.
Our fellows are the embodiment of everything we stand for at OFA, and we’re committed to giving them the best damn training available.
We like to say we’re trying to find the next Barack Obamas, community organizers who are ready to change the world.
Will you help by making a donation of $5 or more today?

Why am I getting Obama garbage requests for money from you? He is exactly what I am against in this country.
