“Would the president raise taxes by executive action?” Fox News’s Ed Henry asked White House spokesman Josh Earnest on Tuesday. It sounds like he might.
Earnest did note that “there are laws that are in place that deal with Congress and their power of the purse. And it is Congress’s responsibility to make decisions about the budget. It’s why we’ve had such an extensive conversation about the Department of Homeland Security. The president has put forward his own tax proposal for how he thinks we can work with Congress to close loopholes that only benefit wealthy and well-connected corporations and use the revenue that’s generated to invest in the kind infrastructure that will create jobs strengthen our economy over the long term. We’ve been very clear about what those policies are.

Rule of Law or Rule of Tyranny? I would be ashamed to tell George Washington and Thomas Jefferson how we have let our country be destroyed. Has all of our blood and treason to secure Liberty finally led to this?

“The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;” Nowhere does it say the president.
Not sure why I posted this. There are not enough of us left that care about the Constitution. If there where there would be no need for me to post it.
We may be preaching to the choir but people are becoming aware of the dangers we all face.
