WW3 Fears Trigger American Panic-Buying Of 5.56 Ammo, Prices Surge 39% In A Week

As the Israel-Hamas war sparks fears of WW3, law-abiding Americans are streaming the chaos in Israel and Gaza on their smartphones or smart TVs and have come to one conclusion: It’s time to panic buy ammo (just like during Covid).

New data from the ammo tracking website Ammo Prices Now shows 5.56×45mm NATO caliber ammunition listed online by popular brands has surged 39% in the past week, from .36 per round on Oct. 14 to .50 per round on Sunday.

I bought my gun when I lived in ***** fifteen years ago. It’s a revolver because that was what I was familiar with. I used it to kill rattle snakes that came close to the house I very seldom ever use it, but I keep it cleaned. At that time, I also bought 500 rounds and they’re sitting in the boxes. Back then my significant other and I knew something was going to happen, so we started getting ready.

I posted in another discussion…During Obamas reign, Operation Jade Helm weapons and caches were placed all over the country for the invading Chinese/Cartels…if we can get there first there’s tens of thousands of arms and billions of rounds.

WWIII fears are not the only reason why 5.56 ammo rates have skyrocketed. I follow Guns & Gadgets on Youtube and he released a video last week stating that Lake City Brass in Missouri (which is owned by the Federal Govt and Winchester has the sole right to manufacturer) was told to not release any new ammo to the public and ONLY produce for the our military for the foreseeable future. I believe they are responsible for 30-40% of the ammo available to the public so that is another reason for the sudden spike. Supply and demand is at work here. The real question is what does our tyrannical government know that we don’t? It sure is looking like WWIII is just around the corner.

I suspect a lot of the multitude of new mini storages cropping up everywhere are holding pre positioned items! Many units out of site and heavily guarded. Govt grants were given for construction.

Waiting for it to hit $3 or $4 a round so that I can barter for the things that I don’t have.

Glad I still have several 1,000rd cans from years back when I caught a sale of M193 at $99/1M. Also, still have a few 420rd cans from the days of $119 for M855 on strippers from Federal / LC. Plenty of powder, primers and bullets to reload also.

The price of 300 blackout has been holding steady, at least on Palmetto State Armory’s website. .223 and 5.56 have been on a roller coaster the last 10 days, mostly sold out.
