The Ayatollah will regret having attacked Israel directly.
And the Israelis will regret escalating this Friday conflict should it pull the USA into it as their political capitol will evaporate quickly
Will the US voters see this as the Dems having got us into this mess? US boots on the ground (or goggles in the air), and feel that much more inclined to vote against a continuation of the madness?
Will the American people approve, in retrospect, this use of our military and treasure?

The real question is how many other Arab countries are going to join Iran. Will this pull us directly into the war? What happens when a carrier get sunk? What hapens if Hezbollah and the Houthis coordinate their missile attacks against Israeli bases and USNavy ships as Israel and the Us Navy are attacking Iran?
the US forces are there as cannon fodder to ensure we have an excuse to jump into the fray!
