Americans today are consistently under the false impression that the Constitution is still in full force and effect, when in fact its original intent has not been in force for well over a hundred years. We must understand that when citizenship is national, this creates a national loyalty for EVERY state. True state rights (and lawful states) are eliminated.
Friends, be it bathrooms, abortion, or the elimination of religious statues from local parks — civil rights today are NATIONAL rights.
Federalist 39 was very clear that our Constitution was not creating a national form of government, but a federal union of independent states, saying the states were“considered as a sovereign body”, and that “the new Constitution will, if established, be a federal, and not a national constitution”
America was designed to be a federal union of independent and sovereign states, with a citizenry loyal each to his or her state.
If our foundations have been destroyed, do we have a duty to restore them?
