“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
Matthew 5:11-12 NIV
A trend I have come to notice is that among the “right”, the disdain for followers of Yah has become palatable. A few years ago a man in the “Liberty” movement who professed no faith in any intelligent Creator would not disparage or fight against people who professed that hope. We all agreed that we were comrades in arms and would support Liberty as the ideal that bound us together. As of today the opposite is true in circles that used to be bastions of support for anyone who desired to push back the waters of progressivism.
It matters not in the real world. The only reality which will affect my mountain is my neighbors, at least in the short term. A man on the World Wide Web in somewhereville really has no bearing on my circle at all, again in the short term.
The thing we need to keep in our minds however is that while it is possible that there will be honorable and trustworthy men who are not directed by the Spirit of God, there are far more who will succumb to every base behavior imaginable. If the conversations I have witnessed in multiple places is indicative (and I believe it is) of the nature of some who claim to be anti-progressive, then we have danger on every hand.
Language mocking Christ and condemning His followers as not just fools but enemies, who will be fragged to be eliminated have become commonplace. It seems the enemy within may be a more pressing threat than the Progressives without.
Where does this leave a man who is trying in earnest to do what is right in the eyes of Yah?
Have a group around you who share your beliefs. Make it a priority that your tribe is comprised of God-seeking individuals or if necessary at a minimum people who show no hostility to the tenants and teachings of Christ.
Beware of any individual, no matter his value to the tribe, who shows open hostility or mocks Christ or individuals who seek scripture as a guide to life. Even relatively benign jokes now are a warning sign. He at some point may well betray you or will be a thorn that sows division and strife in your group. Things will be stressful enough during any upheaval without the added worry from within your own circle.
Being of one mind is how God works with groups, just read Acts and it will become more clear. Love, true care and compassion in a group is the way to see the power of the Holy Spirit move and inspire. Being of one mind and committed to a common set of values and ideals will be a comfort and powerful asset in terrible times.
Soon, probably sooner than you can imagine, Christians will become the worst of the scapegoats in the pool of society’s wrath. White Christians will be driven to ground and openly vilified before eventually openly persecuted, ultimately eliminated.
Those in the “Libertysphere” will not come to your aid. They will sit back and mock you as cucks and say “good riddance”.
The days are dark indeed, my brother. May God’s word light our path and His Spirit give us wisdom.
Amen. If people do not have faith in the Lord, they will have no compunction in turning you in or probably worse.
2 Timothy 3:12
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
From a personal email to me concerning this post:
I think he is right, no pun intended. In a group we are “marginally attached to”, there are several who are not “sold out” to JESUS. As a matter of fact, some are lost without doubt and other hold ideas which are NOT compatible with Christianity. We have decided we will not affiliate with a group that isn’t 100% in love with and serving JESUS first; all else is secondary. It is either “all or nothing”; GOD, JESUS, THE HOLY SPIRIT or satan. (Remember the old saw, “You’re either pregnant or you’re not”?). “You’ve got to serve somebody”, as Bob Dylan sang…. Even the best of us will make mistakes, do dumb things, say the wrong thing, interpret incorrectly what someone else did or said; but, with GOD at the helm, of each individual’s and the group’s life, it can be worked out.
America has too long been led by the enemies within so much so that recognizing “real”, honest people has to be a discernment issue for the HOLY SPIRIT residing in us, WHO in turn will advise us “yea” or “nay”.
These are first thought right after reading the posts. There may be more as it soaks in.
The moment JESUS asked me to give HIM “my love of teaching”, I knew HE had me. I responded in tears saying humbly, “But, LORD, that’s who I am.” To which HE REPLIED, “I know.” Because HE CAUGHT me with that message in front of a large group of people, I couldn’t argue with HIM like I might have wanted to do; but simply took the bread, dipped it in the wine and told HIM I was giving HIM my love of teaching. It’s been quite a journey, David. I am so incredibly blessed every day as HE CONTINUES to reveal HIMSELF to me by showing me how I have willingly (without being aware of it relating to my relationship with HIM) continued to keep parts of me “safe” and tucked away. HA! It is such a glorious release to “get it”, to dance before THE LORD with unmitigated joy and to celebrate ALL HE IS.
AMAZING GRACE!
Our mission is not to survive but to serve. Jesus said of all that the Father gave Him, He would not lose one.
That said. I believe the Lord’s tears in the garden were not for Him but us, upon whom the end shall come.
I only hope to be a blessing and not a curse. To that end I pray for all my brothers and sisters in Christ.
Just finished Acts (again) and yes most revealing each time studied. These Individuals many times had their own direction yet all served Him as they were guided! They did have some contention among themselves on occasion.
Yet they all served the Master.
The Truth can be a divider also.
People who flat out attack with hate are seeking to bait you, it is concerning when we see how they succeed ( WRSA) in particular comes to mind.
No consequences is an encouragement. Free speech comes with responsibility.
Pray for them when confronting them gains no headway. Pray for everyone?
No. Rev 22:11
Thomas … consider … 1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all people -- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Well and good but only in a general sense. The enemies of God will reap what they have sown.
May I suggest a read of Psalm 2
Here is an excellent study of these issues
Blinded by Whom is a great study on thishttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_25N0y-2o9g&list=PLGk636nvuNgQajZmFCJmx2GWkQ2KGPZAs&index=3
Matthew 5:44 is very simple clear and to the point.
Rev.22: 11 tells us that no not everyone will be on track. many will continue on their way. It says nothing about who to pray or not pray for.
As lawless pointed out the other day, the Truth is in the whole of the Word of God.
Rightly dividing the whole Word is needed. Matt 5:44 is part of the sermon on the mount proclaiming the law of the kingdom, which we know was rejected and in abeyance. It also includes Matt 5:38-39 about turning the other cheek. I will not enable evil either in prayer nor victimhood.
we are not praying for evil to succeed. i pray that the evil spirits are revealed and cast out, cast down, that the person,(people) can be brought to their knees, brought towards repentance. To serve His will.
Do you think spiritual warfare should include prayer.
if i understand your reply -- So who rejected the sermon on the mount? should we?
Just because we know many will not repent is no excuse for us not to pray that they will. Many will not turn back towards God, many think that they are truly serving Him and are not. These truths are from verses that should strike fear into mankind.
The video you provided above, speaks of God blinding some of His own children. When He blinds them and hardens their hearts what do they do to each other?
That is an excellent example. Can you see it is exactly what is taking place yet again today? God is sending a warning, many are not listening, there is to be a remnant. But how many will war and turn against each other?
He also says Ephraim is still blinded yet today and do not recognise who they are. He is also mentioning Judah, i wonder will Manasseh also come up?
Now i only made it to the 20 min. mark. will try to finish.
off to work.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive ‘those’ who trespass against us.
