A Simple Solution

Image result for north carolina state constitution 1776

The country has been divided into two factions which may (probably) lead to a civil war. The simple solution is to look back. In North Carolina’s original state Constitution, people had to have property in order to hold office in the state Senate:

That each member of the Senate shall have usually resided in the county in which he is chosen for one year immediately preceding his election, and for the same time shall have possessed, and continue to possess in the county which he represents, not less than three hundred acres of land in fee.

They had to have property in order to hold office in the state House of Commons:

That each member of the House of Commons shall have usually resided in the county in which he is chosen for one year immediately preceding his election, and for six months shall have possessed, and continue to possess, in the county which he represents, not less than one hundred acres of land in fee, or for the term of his own life.

In order to vote for a state Senator:

That all freemen, of the age of twenty-one years, who have been inhabitants of any one county within the State twelve months immediately preceding the day of any election and possessed of a freehold within the same county of fifty acres of land for six months next before, and at the day of election, shall be entitled to vote for a member of the Senate.

In order to vote for a member in the House of Commons (county level):

That all freemen of the age of twenty-one Years, who have been inhabitants of any one county within this State twelve months immediately preceding the day of any election, and shall have paid public taxes shall be entitled to vote for members of the House of Commons for the county in which he resides.

In order to vote for a member in the House of Commons (township level):

That all persons possessed of a freehold in any town in this State, having a right of representation and also all freemen who have been inhabitants of any such town twelve mouths next before and at the day of election, and shall have paid public taxes, shall be entitled to vote for a member to represent such town in the House of Commons: — Provided always, That this section shall not entitle any inhabitant of such town to vote for members of the House of Commons, for the county in which he may reside, nor any freeholder in such county, who resides without or beyond the limits of such town, to vote for a member for said town.

To put it simply, if you did not have skin in the game, you were not able to vote. One way to define the division in this country is based on government support. If you pay taxes, you can vote. If you do not pay taxes or receive more in government benefits than taxes that you pay, you do not vote.

I can already hear the cries of “RACIST” but this is not the case in this country. Anyone can buy land with a house (freehold) and pay taxes if they are a productive member of society. If we did go back to a simpler time, we would eliminate the bloodshed of a civil war. Unfortunately, our “rulers” want the blood to run in the streets.

Nearly anyone with an income and nominal credit can get a mortgage. Giving the franchise to people who may be “in debt up to their ears” does not establish the proper foundation.

Your solution will only be viable if the requirement is to hold rightfully acquired land AND be living on it free from debt.

Only people who are free from debt are ethically and morally qualified to hold public office or even cast a vote with regard to governance of other people and their assets.

… if you believe anyone should be entrusted with the governance of others.

I do not.

SIMPLE ANSWER:

“Because the government is a corporation (artificial person), it is a fictitious entity that has no natural rights and power. Its main source of power comes from feeding on the energy of the people.”

Government creates no value to trade on the open market, so the only way it can obtain your assets is through extortion and theft:

“The process that allows the government to legally claim you as a corporation involves the creation of a fictitious you, which is the name written in all CAPITAL LETTERS, and then tricking you to agree to be that artificial person or legal name.

“This legal name was created shortly after you were born and was recorded on a bond. This bond that represents the date of your birth is known as your birth certificate.

“The birth certificate is actually a certificate of slavery which is why it is recorded on a bond.”

Hans,
i believe much of what you say here is True. Not being immersed in debt goes back into Biblical days.
And i am familiar with the Anna Von Reitz exposing much of this.
Discernment is highly recommended if reading her articles. i disagree with much of what she puts out yet there are elements of Truth.
However not being in debt at all is not and was never a condition of voting, was it?.
My point would be, if i were to keep it simple.
Even as the world tries its best to keep us enslaved and in -- debt. we can still be free and enjoy the liberty from above. we have been warned of the traps of this world and we were suggested to seek the Truth in all matters including first and foremost His Truth from above.
David,
it is not just this worlds gov. that tries to enslave us, it is the worldliness itself, banks are but one avenue, cell phones, tech, lust of the flesh, arguing to be right, hatred, fear, etc. etc. etc…

I didn’t claim that all debt is bad.

However, if you choose to acquire more debt than you have equity to cover, you should lose your franchise and be ineligible for public office.

… at least until such time as you are no longer “under water”.

To “a follower” … the most trusted source can publish garbage and the most suspect source can speak the truth … it is always up to you to ‘discern’ the difference.

(And no, in our past the absence of debt was never a condition of voting, but it should have been.)

Asking people to provide their financial info as a requirement to vote?Yes i know, (they already have it.) And yet…
How do you think this would pan out?
Visit us at More bloated gov.org?
$$$ and the love, and misuse of it is a key factors in the elections. Money from overseas, money crossing state lines and local lines.
How can a Nation a State or a local gov. be independent or (set- apart) with this going on? It boils down to corrupt men (mankind.)
Cronyism.

I acknowledge your allegation that my position is extreme.

However, the progressive alternative we are asked to accept is equally extreme …

… anyone, from anywhere, dead or alive, can register anywhere, and cast as many votes as they wish …

Democracy with universal suffrage is voluntary slavery.

PS -- no nation / state / local government is “independent” … they are all entirely dependent upon legal ways to loot you wealth.
