Adapting and Functioning Isn’t a Superpower, It’s Self-betrayal

How many times have you held yourself back, dimmed your light, swallowed your truth, just to fit in, not bother anyone, and fulfill expectations?

How many times have you said yes when everything inside you screamed no?

Adapting may help you survive, but it starves your soul.

Functioning may satisfy the world, but it causes you to wither.

You aren’t here to fit in.
You are here to be real. Unadulterated. Alive. True.

Your gifts are no accident.

Your desires are no mistake.
Your inner knowing of what feels right and wrong is your silent truth, your home.

Adapting is easy. Living truthfully takes courage.

But this very courage is your true power.
Not to betray yourself to please, but to honor yourself to be whole.

I still walk tall, knowing I never wore a slave mask. Never took an experimental medical treatment. Never bowed down to the tyranny of the masses. Though I may lose everything, I still have my dignity and can look my fellow man in the eye without shame.
