In my opinion it is not the people who are far apart, it’s the congress who spend the money. BOTH parties are responsible for the debt and the wars. They voted for it because they don’t represent us, they represent the lobbyists and themselves. If they would pass term limits , which start today, things would change quickly

Eye opening how far apart in every interpretation and viewpoint between the Leftists and the Rest of us are.
Yes, there are a lot of people -- far too many -- who are absolutely insanely out of touch with reality, and their core beliefs are completely at odds with those held by the typical audience here. We cannot coexist with these idiots. Dividing the country up into new nations won’t work either, as they will fail miserably in their own enclave, and then come for ours (since we are successful and productive), which puts us right back where we are now.
The solution to this long running impasse is as obvious as it is “unspeakable” -- war. You don’t have to like that (even I have a hard time stomaching the notion of having to go down that road with what it entails, but it cannot be denied by any rational person. The divide is over fundamentals, and there can never be a compromise on fundamentals.
Once they realize that government is their common enemy and always has been, they will find they are not so far apart. Hopefully DOGE and others can expose the bipartisan complicity in the crimes committed against this nation.
