Here is the complete filing for the case. I do not presume to know how much money two human lives are worth. I do know that monetary payouts without penalties for the guilty parties are not what justice is about. In this case, the taxpayers and the insurance companies will have to pay for “justice”. This is not the first time that the conduct of county employees have been cause for raiding the pockets of the county’s taxpayers.

I believe I speak for a large number of Cherokee County, NC taxpayers when I say the people should not be accountable for government employees’ actions.

You speak for more than Cherokee County. No, taxpayers should not be held liable for the actions of rogue state or county employees. The employe should be personally liable, especially, when it comes to gross negligence.
Here in Chatham county, NC there is a family who has a home that isn’t fit to live in with 30+ code violations and structural defects. The county inspector and planning board passed it all, but the county is claiming immunity. Yet the county passed a budget demanding property owners pay an increase in their “taxes”. Good business if you can get it. Did a pittance of that tax increase go to help the aggrieved family, no. The tax payers should be demanding the life blood of their so called representatives.

Replace the majority on your county commission in the next election, by electing a team that campaign together to replace the majority at the same time. That strategy is working. People are sick of being abused.
If the next election is too far off, start a re-call effort for the entire board. That should screw them up big time.
If you are legally savvy and have an atty to advise -- try to get at the board through their professional bonds. Three claims against the bonds and they are OUT. But you have to be perfect or they can turn around and sue you.
And at the end of the day, there’s gangstalking. We can do it too if we are mad enough:))))))))

That video is a prime example of what has happened to this screwed in the ass sideways, 99% RUINED former country known as America. Folks I truly and seriously ask of you: When is Enough going to finally be ENOUGH?? Ever? Probably NEVER!! Remember our choices and decisions when we end up like that poor guy.

I express my thoughts here and I want you to know right now that I have gotten a backlash in the past for speaking up in public over matters in this county. I do so here with full expectation of it being so again. However, I will say as a landowner and taxpayer I resent then facts that our county board and other county officials refuse to allow the people they serve to speak out in our own defense in how they the elected ones behave in their jobs. In meeting when people ask questions that matter, we are told to sit down and shut up. This latest lawsuit is only one of a number of issues that are eating away at this county like a festering wound. Unfortunately, until it gets to a point that the good people here can no longer pay the price and move out or the bad people stop with their stupid actions, we are locked in a battle no one is winning. It is a shame that this county cannot move past they good ole boy thinking and into the new world without all about me crime and work toward everyone’s best interest.
