This is long overdue great news, but…

While individuals, even doctors and nurses, can be forgiven for the sin of shedding innocent blood, nations cannot.

The destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon came upon them because of Manasseh’s sins, including the sin of shedding the innocent blood of children by sacrificing them to pagan gods. God would not pardon that sin.

Concerning the destruction of Judah and Jerusalem by Babylon and the seventy years of captivity that followed, the Bible says in 2 Kings 24

3 Surely at the commandment of the Lord came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;

4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the Lord would not pardon.

I doubt Manasseh killed sixty million children as has the U.S..

This makes me wonder what is in store for our country.
