Don’t doubt, as did the Israelites, that our Lord can furnish a table even in the wilderness. See Psalm 78:19. He can supply all our needs in Appalachia or anywhere else. Now, I did say needs, not wants. He loves us too much to give us everything we desire, unless He is our heart’s desire.

Remember --

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as he have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee , nor forsake thee.

1 Timothy 6: 6-8

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Appalachia is land locked? Maybe so, maybe not. When I look at the map, I see Appalachia occupying many head waters of large water shed areas. The Ohio and it’s tributaries, the Susquehanna, Delware, Potomac as well as so many more (too many for here) as you travel south along the Eastern Continental Divide. If you are in Appalachia, you have all the compass points in front of you. Coastal location? Not so much unless one has boat.

This concept might have more traction in the north than you might think. Judging the of rural New York and New England folks by the actions of the city inhabitants is like judging the state of North Carolina by the actions of Ashville residents. Many in the rural areas of the north are 100 percent team Liberty and detest the ideals of the urban inhabitants of this area. When things get spicy Bupperts Law of Military Topography will be proven from Springer to Katahdin.

You may want to consider NW Ohio and NE Indiana in that mix. We do allot of trade in grain and livestock with the Appalachian Republic. The Amish, yes they have their own underground economy hiding under that religious exemption, are part of that trade system as well. Like PA , NW Ohio has oil refineries in Toledo, Canton and Lima to assist when the SHTF if we can rebuild. We also have Mini-mills and traditional steel making to support rebuilding efforts.
