It makes sense to me, if true about time.
agree to a certain point, but a few dead “protestors” could spark something unexpectedly larger in response. Their side is just waiting for the right moment to move.
Let ‘Em. If they do they are at the disadvantage of taking on the government security apparatus while it is nominally in the hands of counter revolutionary command and civil authority. The “fascist” accusations are probably not going to move the same troops who garrisoned Fort Pelosi in a militarized Washington after J6. They did all that just a few years ago without a hint of dissent in the ranks. If the Marxists initiate something kinetic, they will likely feel the full weight of the Federal response in the FAFO sense.
If rounding up the legions of proven traitors does trigger some kind of Spanish Civil War split in the military and Federal Law enforcement, then they were going to break Communist on us anyway at some point. I would rather have them break their oaths when it was time to do the right thing and let the American People see it. Let our enemies be the ones who break the trust.
Things will definitely be more interesting for a change.

In Beruit Lebanon in 1983, The USMC sentries at the perimeter had unloaded rifles, Generals and politicians were deathly afraid of armed corporals starting a war, even though they were in a hot combat zone. The Marine barracks car bomber drove right by the helpless Marine sentry. Fast forward to 1993 Somalia and you can see US troops, “guarding” themselves with similarly empty rifles. Same reasons, same source. Stateside, the ARNG is walking around the subway system in New York and the Streets of DC either without weapons at all or with unloaded rifles. Not many are fooled by this. It is bad enough that the quality of many of the troops is at a level where they suggest very little military bearing to the casual observer, it will be fatal for some of them when a determined enemy realizes they are nothing but a bluff and that they can probably be relieved of a full automatic service rifle by any gangster who simply produces a loaded pistol and demands it be handed over. This is not a game for posturing and half measures, if you put troops on the streets, it should be fully understood by everyone that they can and will shoot people if required.

Imposition of martial law, once the war with Russia/China begins, this is “acclimation” for the troops to become familiar with roughing up and worse, fellow American citizens, while at same time “acclimating” the people to armed military troops policing their cities and later their towns and burgs. Bringing in NG form outside also makes the tasks easier as the WNG may be more reluctant to become aggressive with fellow city dwellers than will be “outsiders.”
Well President Trump is piling troops into DC for some reason other than the crime problem. If arrests are imminent, then it would indeed spark massive protests–which they would attempt to turn into a color revolution… which would be totally crushed FYI.
As always, I won’t be holding my breath. I will cheer as loud as possible if it happens…but I have my doubts. Better make sure the guns are loaded too.
Is Congress on recess? If so it’s all BS. If they are in session for a while he may just go Rambo again like Iran.
I sure hope they are given live ammo to go with those weapons. They usually don’t.
