Psalm 127
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
In vain you rise early toiling for food to eat
– for he grants sleep to those he loves.
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
This Psalm has two parts. It remind us that the Lord must build our house or we labor in vain. This can be applied to our country which was founded on Judeo-Christian values. Without God’s foundation, the country will fall. Whether it falls to Islam, immorality, atheism or communism, it will become a fallen nation.
The second part reminds us that our children are a reward from God. It is our responsibility to ensure their future and character. The results of this country’s failure with our children are self-evident in Washington, D.C. If we cannot muster the sacred Honor to restore Liberty and the foundation of our country’s values, we will fall and our children will be enslaved. Make your arrows strong, straight and shameless.
