Many wonder if this is a true quote while most wonder and are amazed at the sagacity of “Old Blood ‘n Guts”.
It is reported to have first appeared in 1982 in a book called The Unknown Patton. It’s a completely unsourced quote (as is the whole book) which appears nowhere else.
