In a short dive look how many times this scare tactic has been used. 2012,… etc.
How many times have we all been told to freak out over ammo guns etc. And yes at some point who knows?
Right now both ammo, guns, parts, uppers and lowers seem readily available. Ahh but we very often do not speak of this.
I have an FFL. I do not see ammunition or reloading supplies readily available or at a reasonable price.
1,000 rounds of 5.56 .47 cents a round does not seem that bad to me. 10 or 12 years ago yes it was a little cheaper.
223 has been available also.
I donot see ammo or reloading being readily available. I’ve been curtailing some of my hunting due to not finding ammo…
Where I live the only ammo available is 5.56, 7.62×51, 7.62.39, 9mm para and 22 LR. The gun racks are full.
i also have bought some of these “survival? meal buckets etc. Different names, same company. As the SHTF, where will they be? Why were the packaging not even vacuum sealed? Can i trust them? Who do i take my complaints and grievances to when the world lays in waste?

I buy stuff that has some flavor & keeps from Sam’s club, Walmart & other food stores instead of the high carb high sugar freeze dried stuff. Summer sausage, canned foods, soups, chocolate for example.
If things get really tough, and we’re really hungry, we won’t care about vacuum sealing, or shelf life or mold or mildew or bugs in rice or cereal or anything else – we’ll eat grass and bark off trees (I prefer Maple trees) and other things we wouldn’t normally think of as food, to survive. Personally, if it does become an issue, I pray for the blessing to starve gracefully. Have you seen the movie “Threads?” Free on archive dot org, I believe. I’m not sure that it will even matter, but on the chance it might, learn about edible wild foods…I just harvested a LOT of a wild food this morning. I will dry it and use for flour…seeds for eating or sprouting…it wasn’t this – but fyi the entire crabgrass plant is edible.
