Two barricades (one right and one left) are made from one 3/4x4x8 sheet of plywood. The barricades are used to learn different shooting positions with a rifle: kneeling, prone, urban prone, etc. You can start at the top and work your way down and then back up as an initial training exercise.
I did not include framing materials but 2×4 that support the barricade in front are needed. If you are not leaving the barricades in place, I suggest that you use hardware to be able to disassemble it in the field. Primer and paint will make it last longer.
I found out very quickly than my hand guard precluded using many of the smaller openings. That has been fixed.

What is this for?
I added more information above.
Have been shooting one of Kyles barricades for about 4 years now. Good stuff, makes you think a lot about gear placement.
Do you have any other information on the philosophy behind this? I’ve seen it used in videos before but I didn’t think it would add much value, although I’ve never been formally introduced to it either. The school of thought that I was taught in said never to stick your barrel through openings in walls such as windows etc. to keep from giving away your position.
