Bergdahl charged with desertion
The Army has charged Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl with desertion, reigniting the debate over whether President Obama paid too high a price to secure his release from the Taliban.
Bergdahl’s lawyer, Eugene Fidell, told The Hill that the solider has been charged with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy under two articles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
