Of course. The globalist (communist federal government) have an insatiable need to control everyone and everything. They absolutely despise free-markets, private property, preservation, protection (self-defense), free-speech, etc.
The horrible actions of the federal government are convincing more people here in Texas to consider the Texas Nationalist Movement (TEXIT). Three years ago this movement was a long shot at best, however, today polls shows that if the TEXIT movement was brought to a honest vote by the people in Texas it would pass.
