No argument on that from me. Were it not for the fact I truly believe the system is too far gone to save, I’d say we need term limits instituted in both houses of Congress, and control of selecting senators returned to state houses, instead of by popular vote. But there is no way to get there from the place we are in now, as any effort towards those ends would be killed off promptly by those whose positions would be at stake.
Agree in total! Truly, the “fox is guarding the hen house.” There will be no action towards term limits or Senate appointments in my lifetime.
The system is so corrupt that it needs to simply collapse, to reset the “lifetime of a democracy” clock then go from there.
Transparency does that. If she didn’t like this first foray into having taxpayer exposure, she ain’t gonna like life going forward! She might consider retirement, since insider trading is going to disappear too!
