Paying kids to go to school? That is one of the funniest things I have heard lately. I can’t wait to see how that works out.

And why do we have troops in Iraq, anyway? The troops have traumatic brain injuries now. Probably forever. And the only way Russia would attack a NATO country is if NATO provokes Russia. NATO is not up to the task of taking on Russia. The EU industrial capacity is way down because of sanctions on Russia. And when Iran or the Houtis close the Strait of Hormuz, there will be no oil for Europe. They’re toast.

You are so right… the government needs to stay out of the business arena! Another thing they are messing up is the post office. The USPS is trying to compete in the package delivery market. They have instituted very tempting pricing to retailers, but they are woefully lacking in the facilities necessary to handle the increased load. The result is poor performance. Besides, their prices are not enough to keep them out of the black, so they have shortfalls that necessitate getting bailed out by the taxpayers. This is not fair to the taxpayer nor the competition, but it’s typical of how the federal government performs in a competitive business environment.
