I’m in my 70’s in good health. Looking for cheaper rent. Looking at Idaho. Lewiston, Mountain Home or Boise. Any tips? Fixed income but getting by okay. Talk to me. Don’t need anything fancy. Affordable, clean and quiet. Rents in NE Illinois are insane and going higher.

Go visit Christian Churches. Go to their main offices. Make an appointment to visit pastors or priests. Oftentimes, they will make an announcement to members that someone is in need of something. Sometimes, they might have a rental on church property. They also have ministries within each church dedicated to helping people get what they need. Also, make an appointment to speak with the Dept. of Senior Services in various towns where you are considering to live. Good luck.
