Boots on the Ground – September 5th

The local hardware store has large pallets of plastic wrapped firewood in the parking lot. No prices on them yet. In the past seven years they have not done this. Mind you, this is heavily forested country and firewood cutting is allowed on the National Forest. Local softwood (pine) firewood is now being advertised for as much as $400 / cord split and delivered.
