Didn’t see that coming, but then again I never wrote a book “The Art of The Deal!”

“I hit his fist so hard with my face that he went home crying for his momma!”

I’m not sure how this is going to play out yet. I’m inclined to think Trump can break China (this will hurt them more than it will hurt us, is my gut feeling) but public perception of and support of this escalation is probably not going to last long, and Trump risks losing the narrative as the whining and outrage grow louder by the day. Remember, just a few weeks ago people were freaking out about the cost of eggs.

The stakes here are a lot higher than egg prices, and more painful in the short term. I don’t really perceive that most Americans are prepared for or capable of withstanding this without breaking under the pressure. Maybe I’m wrong about that, and hope that I am. But we have a lot of light weights who will fold like a cheap lawn chair as soon as they feel even a little real pain, and will be screaming to big daddy govt to make it stop.

Love the “fold like a cheap chair”, so true lot of key board warriors, just don’t ask for help. No matter what, Trump has done more than the basement president did the last four years. Trump is doing with the tariffs that Schumer and Pelosi talked about years ago of doing, but didn’t or wouldn’t do. But now crying wolf cause Trump is doing it, He is using it to make better deals for America. Some will Hold The Line, but I agree Most will fold and cry in their cereal.

Only 15% of China’s exports go to the United States. This will hurt us more.

We are more reliant on them than they are on us. Think about all the military software they supply for one.
Whatever we sell them they can source elsewhere overnight.
85% of their trade is with other countries, and they are the worlds largest manufacturer.
We can’t bring back real production into our country tomorrow, it will take years of rebuilding our manufacturing base. This isn’t WWII.
