Ronan gets it!
Its a losing gambit.
Asking nations to choose, is a losing prospect, losing angle. Bad idea to try coercing your ‘allies’.
I get it -- most nations know how China is (they all see whats going on in Africa and elsewhere)… the problem is, in their eyes, the US isn’t much better!
And the fact is the West is not the ascendent power today. So where would YOU hitch your wagon? The failing old man, or the new up and comer? Look at NATO, look at BRICS, you have the answer. This gambit will fail. Spectacularly would be my guess, because our own allies and everyone else will claim they don’t like Trump.

When playing chess there must be two kings on the board, with one space between them. But Trump doesn’t play regular chess as we all know and looks like China is going the way of the checker board!
Nothing new that 🇨🇳 China has used other countries to ship their products by skipping paying tariffs. Trump knows that and will win in the end. China GPD and $$$$$ will suffer more than it has. I’m just glad that their economy isn’t blooming or Trump wouldn’t be able to make these demands.
I’m just wondering how long will bleed, of course we know their people will bleed first, cause they don’t care if they suffer.
