Too hard to enforce -- assuming you could get congress / Senate to even pass it.

Not sure why you would say that. Citizenship records are in the public domain. Common sense. How many of our elected officials have a dual citizenship with Israel? I can think of two and I’m sure there’s many others.

How about a ban on ‘dual citizenship’ period in this country.-especially for elected scum. And especially for those who own media outlets or work in high positions within the same--and a ban on foreign money in media outlets. Stay with a greencard and keep your citizenship, but if you naturalize, no dual citizenship. Period..

As I said above, I recall that it used to be so.

The Jewish lobby and or blackmail influence over the house and the senate is too strong for this to be possible.

Public readings of Solzhenitsyn’s observations of the jews during the violent overthrow of Russia should be mandatory, as should detailed study of such be required in public school education, as well as the jews that heinously tortured and murdered 66 million Russians. But we all know who controls the you know what, so that will never happen.

I agree a man needs to be a citizen of one nation or the other. There’s no way one can be loyal to both. And I think we know where our senators are

As a Jew whose father’s line extends to multiple Mayflower ancestors (one verified, others awaiting) and back even to Jamestown (also verified) I do not want my elected officials to be citizens of another country. ANY country.
Now, from a Jewish perspective (or at least MY Jewish perspective), as a Jew I have the potential for the “Right of Return” -- but that, per Israeli law, does not make me a citizen. I’d have to move there and reside there for some time (as it should be).
For any lawmaker that actually HAS dual citizenship, choose. Which are you? American or Israeli. I hold no animus towards either one, but I see this as a conflict of interest.
Parenthetical note: when I was but a wee lad, the rule was that if you were an American citizen you COULD NOT BE a legal citizen of any other country. When did that change, and why?

sorry, but a degreed historian I think you are in error, there were no jews on the Mayflower nor in Jamestown. Part of the basic wish for the new republic was also no jews should ever be allowed in America. I do however support your position on allegiance to one country and only one country. I too wonder why that law was changed and when.

Not taking anything away from your point but “qualifiers” detract from your point.

Just make it.

Every time I see “As A” it turns me off to your message.

My Judaism comes from my mother. My father’s line -- as evidenced by a nice framed certificate from the Mayflower Society (and boy are they sticklers for documentation!) -- stands. Also have two documented SAR ancestors with two others that I haven’t had time to confirm / document.
My surname came here in the 1600s.

Certainly anyone with citizenship in a foreign country should not be allowed to participate in government. That would include running for office, working in a government job, and voting.
