I have been following the “insurgency” in Russia for over 12 hours. What I have learned is that the information is being distorted and we should watch the events unfold on credible channels. Twenty-five thousand Wagner troops against the Russian military makes no sense. No air force, supplies or money to pay your mercenaries make no sense. However, if you want to play armchair quarterback, consider what happens if the doves in the Russian military are replaced with new commanders who want to quickly and decisively end the slaughter of Ukrainian people.
Now consider a scenario:
Over 50% of the people here know there was voter fraud in the 2020 election. The Biden crime syndicate, FBI, CIA and DOJ have been exposed as working against the people, country and the legal President of the United States. Imagine a civil war here with over 50% of the country supporting the removal of an illegal regime.
Now consider which side is armed in this hypothetical civil war. And then consider the premise in Matt Bracken’s trilogy and 299 Days series that the military will not interfere in a federal war against the people.

I would love to think about that happening within the U.S. but deep down I simply do NOT see it taking place. Wagner is, appearantly, in control of Rostov on Dan. Rostov is the main supply hub for military resupply of forces in Ukraine. so Wagner is in control of a large arsenal. it also appears that 10 generals and one division have joined Wagner in this rebellion.

Having moved from Chicago to Arkansas, I understand the difficulties, I also know country or rural life is better for families! Schools are better, you can walk down roads safely, the air is clean and food is grown locally and of course there is much less government “help”!

At the moment the Russians are removing and arresting the Wagner leadership in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and other Russian cities. The situation is quite unstable but for Wagner a final stand which will not have the results that Prigozhin thinks that they will. Odds are this will be the end of the Russian Minister of Defense, Shoigu, who has been accused by hardliners in Moscow of incompetence in his management of the war.
After the dust clears, look for some encampments in Siberia to rapidly be posting “no vacancy” signs as a purge in the Kremlin will follow this obvious MoD and intelligence failure.
Instead of calming things down, odds are a true hardcore military leader will take over at the Russian MoD and the intensity in the Ukraine conflict will ratchet up dramatically. Unfortunately for those who enjoyed some modicum of freedom in modern Russia, this era will be coming to a close also. The West is about to get their worst nightmare with an angry Putin and an even more militarized Russia.

While NATO has its attention focused on the “insurrection,” has this allowed Putin to secretly move overwhelming and powerful first-strike forces into position at the NATO-Belarus border? Who knows?
