I have been thinking over the holidays about wars. Historically, wars were fought over religions, ideologies or financial/territorial gain. But the people who fought most wars had a religious foundation in history: both sides felt that God was on their side. The exception has been Communist countries which believe that religion is an impediment to their power and control that must be suppressed and eradicated.
The impending civil war in this country falls along this newer paradigm. The people supporting the Republic believe in the Judeo/Christian religion which was the foundation of the country and its work ethic. The enemy believes in Communism. Our side believes in God and the other side does not. Put another way: one side believes in love and one side believes in hate. If you have a doubt which side is supporting Donald Trump, I suggest you look at the people in attendance at a Trump rally.

Thanks for bringing up the “darkness/hatred” issue, David. If you don’t my interjecting, I’d like to ponder the theory of “harmonics” and the effects of positive over negative vibrations for a brief moment.
We all know that love, as taught by our Lord, Yeshua, left people in a state of “bliss”, for lack of better words, but hatred, darkness, has always left people in a state of anger and animosity; basically, miserable.
Could it be true that this universe, guided by both or either, has an effect in the accomplishment of those desires?
I ask for your thoughts on this.

I find that reading the Word of God removes the darkness that I feel for the enemy. War is coming. How we fight the war is the question.

Powerful Statement. Think about the soldier in combat who loves the LORD with all his heart, soul, and, mind. Loves his neighbor as himself. But in moments of combat must get downright evil mean in support of his beliefs.

They do have a religion, they worship the government. They look to government for a ll things.
The real problem in America is that we have turned our back on God. We are under judgement and until we as a country confess our sins, ask for forgiveness and turn away from them, we will continue to spiral down hill. There will be no redemption, only blood.
One special paragraph from George Washington’s farewell address, the Father of our country, the man who could have been King, warns us of exactly what has happened to our great nation and why it could happen, to quote that paragraph:

Since I first read George Washington’s farewell address (a lesson given me in the sixth grade in the 1960’s, as should be given by teachers to every student today by the sixth grade) this paragraph has always stood out to me and I have returned to read it often as I have lived through the turbulent times for this nation of the 1960’s, 1970’s, right on through up to this very minute. (NOTE: I have to point out if you missed it, have you ever heard a nicer way of calling someone a dumb-ass than the last sentence of this paragraph; “Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure”? Which most perfectly describes probably 95% of our current federally elected government officials and employees, and, probably at least 70% of State, Local, and, Municipal elected government officials and employees.)
The only political prosperity for the nation’s peoples these days is in the bank accounts of the politicians. Not only the corrupt Federal government politicians, Democrat and Republican alike, but, many politicians at Local and State levels too. A quote often attributed to another famous patriot named George, General George Patton, is: “The lowest form of life is a politician, and, the lowest form of politician is a liberal Democrat.” This is a very astute observation to this common man, Me. (I think if I would have had a son I would have named him George.) Although, since the time of this quote as the result of the marriage between Politicians and technologies such as television, today we have seen spawned from this lowest form of life perhaps an even lower form of life today known as “TV Political Pundits”, and, “Biased TV Journalists” of which we should consider similar to maggots in the chain of life.
This war is truly the definition of good versus evil in every way you examine it.
Our biggest challenge is to maintain the “good” and not allowed the evil to overtake our hearts while in battle.
We must NOT become the evil we fight and must destroy.
Our eyes and hearts must constantly remain focused on our God while we do the hard things that will be required of us.
We must harden our minds and our resolve but not our hearts and souls.

The expression “The War Good versus Evil’ is a subtle little lie of Satan. THERE IS NO SUCH WAR, GOD FORBIDS. READ YOUR BIBLE. This subtle little lie infers evil as good and wicked as evil, to hearken to this lie one is a fool thinking he is some morally better than another. The real battle is “evil versus wicked” this being the perfect wisdom of GOD to be found in Holy Scripture to preserve the sanctity of the truly good (The MEEK, The Righteous, The Holy???):

Where does Evil come from?

Why would the Lord create Evil?

Where does Wicked come from, and, why would the Lord create Wicked?

Meaning either the evil they designed against the righteous shall return and fall upon their heads, to their own ruin; or the evil of affliction, which to them is the evil of punishment.
Good does not have to become evil to destroy evil. The Bible teaches us to hate evil. This is a war of good vs. evil. You are putting your own interpretation above God’s intent.

I Read your article about a final battle. Since you could not answer the yes or no question it is apparent what spirit you are of.You are right someone is twisting the word of GOD here, it is you who are deceived.This “final Battle” as you call it, is one I have been fighting since 1975, and, started Nov 22 1963.Guess what fool it does not have to be the final battle as described in the book of Revelation. Satan in jealous hatred of GOD and mankind is always trying to provoke GOD into the Great White Throne Judgment (CH 20 REV) for the simple reason there will be no more “Time” for the redemption of souls. As even as if many of the righteous should perish.
Now it has been said Jesus is the great redeemer of souls right? But still we choose to be redeemed or not, right? Now the Higher Truth would be said this way: Jesus is the great redeemer of time.

Now you may be right that the “Final Battle” will ultimately be between King of Kings Lord of Lords Jesus Christ versus Satan, which could be in some subverted way be called a war between good and wicked, but, this battle does not have to be that battle. Still a bunch of souls need time to be redeemed, you reckon? You see that’s the real war going on here, the beast as described in the book of Revelation has not yet come to full maturity, but, as of Jan 20 2021 it may well be mature enough to make a big difference, this is why Joe Biden can never be allowed to be sworn in as President.

I did answer your question but you chose not to see it or you did not understand it. I personally did not say anything about this being the final battle and do not believe we are in the end times. However, this will be the end of this discussion. I am just a simple man with no allusion for power of any kind who wants to called a good and faithful servant on my Judgment Day. The title of the post is from the referenced article: I put it there to show that the Bible does state there are battles of good vs evil.
I ask everyone reading to please, please reconsider thrusting yourselves and your families into a nascent civil war. I retired from my previous career in Atlanta and moved to Wyoming for the big sky, fresh air and horses. There can be reconciliation between the disparate groups because I see it happen here in Wyoming. We Americans must continue to work towards a solution that does not involve a bloody civil war. I was born in Georgia, I’m a native southerner and I humbly ask my fellow southern brothers and sisters to please back away from the Rubicon.
