Socialist and community activist, Saul Alinsky taught organizers to ridicule opponents when the arguments of their opponents could not be refuted by logic, evidence or argument. He advocated denying the truth or just plain lying. In Alinsky’s world, the end always justified the means.
Alinsky’s acolytes on the left have learned the lesson well. Because they dare not address the questions raised, they attack the one asking the questions, they attack the messenger when they don’t have the intellect to counter the message. Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals number 5 states, “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
This is what is happening today to Publius Huldah, a warrior of great renown who is fighting a raging battle to stop the call for another Article V Convention. Publius Huldah is a retired attorney. Her bio reads, Before getting a law degree, she got a degree in philosophy where she specialized in political philosophy and epistemology (theories of knowledge). She now writes extensively on the U.S. Constitution, using the Federalist Papers to prove its original meaning and intent. She also shows how federal judges and politicians have ignored our Constitution and replaced it with their personal opinions and beliefs. She is a prolific writer and an excellent speaker. This above article is a great assessment of the tactics used by people promoting an Article V Convention. I have personally seen supporters of a convention attack the messenger for one simple reason: they cannot defend their position. So they attack the messenger using Rule 12 from Rules for Radicals:
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.
So what should people do to retaliate and defend the truth concerning the dangers of this “convention”? Are we so fearful that the truth must be suppressed? Are we so weak that we cannot stand up for our watchmen and watchwomen?
Why did the Asheville Tea Party cancel Publius Huldah’s appearance on April 12th? It is past time to be complacent and hide our heads in the sand. Call out weak leaders and deceivers. How can you recognize them? By their use of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.

I have attended events where Publius Huldah was a guest speaker on Article V convention. Mrs. Huldah explained in great detail, including source references, why a convention is so very dangerous to our liberty . . . “Once the delegates are duly appointed & assembled, they are acting under the inherent authority of A People to alter or abolish their form of government [Declaration of Independence, 2nd para]; and have the sovereign power to do whatever they want at the convention.”
Conservatives are calling for an Article V convention to add a “balanced budget” amendment. Progressives, including the likes of George Soros, are even more anxious to call a convention. Their purpose? To WRITE a NEW Constitution. An Article V convention is just want they need to accomplish their goal.
Mrs. Huldah is an expert on Article V. I think her ability to articulate and back up her position on this issue so intimidates the other side that their only recourse to date has been this attempt to defame her character. Shame on them.
These people wouldn’t be attacking Publius if she wasn’t telling the truth. The opposition proves she’s spot on. Thanks for posting this!
And what is most damning and shows what the pro-Con-Con people are really all about is the fact that they are lying through their teeth about her husband and his family. They are putting out garbage trying to destroy their opposition because they cannot debate her on their own merits. Publius would wipe up the floor with them…they lie about what would happen with a convention, and now they’re lying about PH herself…typical leftist Alinsky tactics…no doubt they’re working with Soros and gang to get a Convention because they’re sure using leftist tactics.
This actually proves that PH is right in everything she says about the Constitutional Convention…
COS’ use of such tactics (false and irrelevant innuendos) is their admission that the COS cannot be defended on SUBSTANTIVE grounds.
