(Guerillamerica Admin note: This is by far one of the most positive developments to come out of my time in the Patriot/Prepper community. Please ensure widest dissemination.)
One of the features we’re working on for the new Forward Observer website is “crowdsourced” Intelligence collection and analysis. Crowdsourcing is a model available in lots of industries, where the crowd offers services or solutions to a problem. Kickstarter is a popular crowdsourcing website where businesses, inventors and other creatives can showcase a design or prototype and elicit contributions from lots of interested people instead of having to go to a bank. Several years ago, the Human Flesh Search Engine in China further proved the concept of crowdsourcing research in order to identify an individual who had publicly disrespected an elder on a subway train. Crowdsourcing is really powerful and we want to bring that concept to FO’s Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) service. I’ve listed a handful of Priority Intelligence Requirements; these are the needs that will drive our collection. Our goal is to achieve information dominance (open source, at least) in very specific areas in order to provide actionable or predictive analysis to our subscribers. (Some of our PIRs will be enduring, while others will be time-sensitive, ad hoc additions.) Keep in mind that 80-90% of all Intelligence information comes from open sources, which makes this project’s goals possible.
