When I was a child my first 8years of school we had 2 teachers for 8 grades of students each teacher had a classroom with 4 grades 1-4 and 5-8 and when one of the kids could not be quite,or follow the rules, they were called up to the front of the class and given several whacks with a wooden paddle and I don’t know if the whipping released some chemical into the brain that suddenly made the child have the desire to sit down shut up and follow the rules,or if the burning pain in their behinds was a deterrent.Speaking for myself I can say with certainty that it was the burning pain that done it for me.

Also: Shame, we actually had shame. ‘When’ we were in the wrong.

There is a difference between political correctness and decency. Political correctness is about controlling others and about what your rights are. Decency is about controlling yourself and about what your responsibilities are. No one teaches decency anymore. Kids nowadays only know about political correctness.
