Banking heads up. The other day a friend of mine found out someone using an IP address in Indonesia took $25,000 out of his Chase bank account. The bank covered the loss but told him if he hadn’t caught the theft right away, the money would have been transferred to the thief, and he would have had a hard time getting his money back. I always figured the bank is responsible for allowing this kind of theft. The bank didn’t even notify him of an unusual withdrawal.
