Right answer.
Why should Trump even consider selling EB5 Visas. I thought we were suposed to be deporting Ilegals by the thousands. The answer is NO more illegals, no more talk of selling visas, no more imported illegal aliens period.

I think it’s a brilliant idea. Sorry to say, but we citizens are already bought and paid for. This program would go a long way toward setting us free. Given the idea has only just been introduced, we could easily get 10x the number of applicants in the next 6 months.

How many bills and programs have been sold as a reduction of costs, an increase in savings? If you said nearly all you would not be far from the truth.

How many of the same aforementioned have resulted in increased costs or reduced savings? If you answered nearly all, you would not be far from the truth.

What I am saying is even a desperate Vegas bookie wouldn’t take those odds.

Being bought and paid for already is no excuse to double down on more of the same.
But have it your way. I submit:
Each applicant shall be responsible for the removal of xx number of illegal aliens from U.S. soil, and confiscation of monies or estates thereof. Upon proof, applicants may submit their amended application. Any application not so amended shall not be accepted.

The bullshit here starts immediately. 5 million x 200,000 is 1 trillion. Either that is going to be “invested into jobs in America”, whatever that means, or it will be used to pay down the national debt. One or the other, NOT both at the same time.

Theory is the fees pay down debt. That type of immigrant is not a burden on the system, and either starts business, industry, etc, or assists other companies to improve and grow. So, yes, both simultaneous. Use cathedral thinking, not tent thought.

I forget which visa. I could look it up but I’m being lazy.
It went like this; for $100,000 you get a green card. You also have create ten new jobs.

What did the applicants do? Family members pooled their money, bought a visa for one. The one shopped his relatives over and put them to work, creating ten new jobs. This was a big hit in China. Nearly all applicants were Chinese nationals.

I use the past tense because I haven’t paid attention about the program since years ago. It very well may still be going on.

Remember, the visa only opens the door. What comes after is a very messy problem. Chain migration and birthright citizenship are but two of the many problems which ensue.

I now remember one example. A visa holder, Chinese of course, rented a house which he later bought. That house was used as a destination for pregnant women from China to give birth. Voilá, Chinese nationals birthing American citizens. This was in Chino, CA. It operated for years until the city found out and shut it down. I seem to remember that they simply moved to a different city.

This EB5 visa does not make America great -- it just confirms America is for sale. Who is $ John Galt?

A brilliant idea to fund itself. America is a melting pot and we cannot completely close immigration. Persons coming over should prove a way to sustain themself and not drain our country of resources. This program would do that; of course, the details have to be worked out.
