Economic Collapse Update

Incrementality and Fungibility - Atlas of Public Management

Consider this headline:

Record High Lumber Prices Send “Portable Sawmill” Searches To The Moon

In the last week, I talked with three construction contractors and an electrical contractor concerning the future. The electrical contractor told me that all of the people he knows in construction have the same purpose: work as much as possible now because the collapse is imminent. They cannot get help but they are making money.

The construction contractors also have the same mindset. All three are considering or already have bought sawmills. We have trees everywhere in the mountains so the supply is good. As far as energy to cut and dry the lumber…

I bought the material for my electrical rough-in this week. Except circuit breakers. The electrical supply company told me that circuit breakers are in short supply. Their company currently has a backorder of 1,000,000 units.

Remember this classic:

For want of a nail the shoe was lost,
for want of a shoe the horse was lost;
and for want of a horse the rider was lost;
being overtaken and slain by the enemy,
all for want of care about a horse-shoe nail.
-Benjamin Franklin

The Way to Wealth (1758)

We see cars and truck manufacturing in the same position as computer chips are not available.

I had several discussions this weekend concerning bartering. One of the issues discussed was fungibility I will have to barter ammunition for circuit breakers to finish my house. Strange times.

That’s why it’s wise to stockpile EVERYTHING if you can. This is our last opportunity to buy what MAY be needed in the coming years…especially seeds, canned goods, medical supplies, and ammo (what’s left of it).
Nails, lumber, plastic sheeting, and Dowboard is another commodity that will be needed, if but for trade, in the near future.

The crumbling ‘supply chains’ are becoming more obvious every Day, in terms of Price and Availability of a lot of items. Stocking things that you use on a regular basis is essential, but Also, think of Longer-Term items like Vehicle Spares- Brake Shoes, Bearings, Seals, Steering Parts -- things that Wear Out over longer Times.
And have plenty of Oil and Filters for all Vehicles and Equipment. Have a Storage Tank for some Fuel, if possible.
At some point, Plan for “Battlefield Requisition” of Fuel. the ‘govenment’ will have it long after Sales to the Public will be Banned.

All part of the lefts plan to destroy our economy. The commie left truly HATE America and our industrial might and have been seeking to destroy it for decades. Now that they are in control they are wasting no time in implementing our destruction.

Thanks to the Chinese sending the Emerald Ash Borer here to the USA I have thousands of feet of Ash available. It is one of the best if not the very best building wood there is. Drills,threads,cuts,dries straight and has great strength .anyone near central Buckeye need wood let me know. An Amish friend cuts it for me for 25 cents a bf.
